The Berlin International Film Festival:

Also called Berlinale is one of the world's leading film festivals, founded in 1951 it has been celebrated annually in February since 1978. The 59th Berlin International Film Festival will be held 05 to 15 February 2009.

Grüne Woche (International Green Week):

is the world's largest international food trade fair. Held annually in late January / early February for 10 days at the Messe Berlin (Exhibition Centre), it attracts around 400,000 visitors including 90,000 trade visitors.

Berlin JazzFest

Originally called the "Berliner Jazztage," it was founded in 1964 in West Berlin by the Berliner Festspiele. It is considered one of the world's premier jazz festivals. The festival's artistic concept has been "to document, support, and validate trends in jazz, and to mirror the diversity of creative musical activity."
